RallyLens Privacy Policy

RallyLens is a table-tennis match analysis app. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, contact us at the address at the bottom.

What we collect

• Match videos. When you record or import a video, it's uploaded to our storage so it can be analyzed and played back to you in the app. This is the core thing the app needs to work.
• Account information. A unique account identifier tied to your Sign in with Apple credential, so your videos and reports are yours alone and never mixed with anyone else's.
• Match details you enter yourself. Opponent names and match outcomes are entirely optional and typed in by you — we don't detect or infer who won a match.
• Basic technical data needed to operate the service securely — things like request logs for debugging and abuse prevention. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

About the people you record

Table tennis is a two-player sport — your match videos will usually include your opponent, not just you. Before any video leaves your device, the app requires you to explicitly confirm you have the right to record and share that footage. Please only record people who are aware of and okay with being filmed. Your opponent's likeness in a video you upload is handled under this same policy, the same as your own.

How we use what we collect

Solely to run the app: storing and playing back your videos, computing the statistics and reports you see, and maintaining your account. We do not use your videos or data to train models for any purpose beyond generating your own reports, and we do not share your videos with other users.

Automated video analysis

Some statistics in the app (ball speed, rally detection, and similar) are produced by computer-vision analysis. This analysis is a best-effort estimate, not a certified or professionally validated measurement — treat it as a helpful approximation, not ground truth. Any specific feature that isn't yet reliable enough for general use is clearly labeled as such in the app rather than presented as finished.

Where your data is stored

Videos and account data are stored with reputable third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting and object storage) who process data only on our behalf, under contract, and never for their own purposes. We don't operate our own data centers — nobody running a small app does — but we choose providers that meet real security and privacy standards, and your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) to and from our servers.

Your choices

• Delete your account and all associated data. In the app, go to Profile > Privacy & data > Delete my account. This deletes your videos, match history, and account right away, not on a delay. If you can't sign in to do this yourself, email us at the address below and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.
• Export a copy of what we have. In the app, go to Profile > Privacy & data > Export my data for a downloadable copy of your account info, match sessions, and stats — everything except the video files themselves, which you can already rewatch in-app any time. You can also just email us and ask.

Children

RallyLens is not directed at children, and the app requires users to confirm they are 13 or older before use. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
